Realization of an atomic quantum Hall system in four dimensions

Arxiv: https://arxiv.org/abs/2210.06322

In collaboration with Sylvain Nascimbene, LKB-College de France

  • Experimentally probed unique properties of 4D Quantum Hall (QH) system prepared using two synthetic (spin optical lattices) and two real dimensions in ultracold Dysprosium atom experiment

Holographic dual of the Geroch group - to appear on Arxiv

In collaboration with Marios Petropoulos, CPhT Ecole Polytechnique:

  • Studied integrability properties of Einstein’s equations in asymptotically locally AdS/flat spacetime to understand fluid/gravity duality and reconstructed all algebraically special geometries from boundary fluid data

  • Using this technique to understand the action of the Geroch group on the boundary and understand why complete Geroch group is not present in AdS

Geroch group and Poisson-Lie T-duality

In collaboration with Raju Roychowdhury

  • Recognized that Geroch group as an example of Poisson-Lie T-duality and worked out the algebra corresponding to dimensionally reduced groups corresponding to flat spacetime and AdS4

  • Worked out a scheme to extend Geroch's algorithm to higher dimensions (and AdS/dS spacetime) using Poisson-Lie T-duality.

Erasure tolerant quantum memory and the quantum null energy condition in holographic systems  - published in PRL

Arxiv: https://arxiv.org/abs/2202.00022

In collaboration with Ayan Mukhopadhyay and string theory group of IIT Madras:

  • Reviewed shockwave calculations by Shenker and Stanford on eternal black hole geometry and thermofield double state

  • Studied Uniformization maps from Banados geometries to Poincare patches to study entanglement entropy and Quantum Null Energy Conditions (QNEC)

  • Used QNEC to find the minimum temperature required for quantum erasure using instantaneous quenches in a finite temperature background

  • We also find that if the encoding qubits are localized over an interval shorter than a specific localization length, then the fast erasure process is impossible

Application of AdS/CFT correspondence to SYK and spin chain models

In collaboration with P. Ramadevi, IIT Bombay and Prithvi Narayan, IIT Palakkad

  • Reviewed AdS/CFT correspondence and OTOC calculations for SYK model and XXZ-spin chain model (through its connection with free bosonic CFT)

  • Verified these OTOC results through Numerical DMRG calculations in collaboration with Prof. Soumya Bera and Rof. Sumiran Pujari

Einstein Cartan Dirac Equations in Newman-Penrose Formalism -published in Physical Review D

Arxiv: https://arxiv.org/abs/1804.11334

In collaboration with T.P.Singh, TIFR Mumbai

  • Studied Newman-Penrose formalism and Einstein-Cartan theory to understand black hole physics and Fermionic fields

  • Solved the coupled differential equations corresponding to spin-1/2 particles on Minkowski background

  • Phys. Rev. D 98, 064046 (2018)
